TF-CBT: 
Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Inclusion Criteria:
  • Ages 3 - 18 years old (preferably parent involvement throughout treatment)
  • Symptoms: 
    • Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Behavioral problems
  • History of: 
    • Physical abuse, sexual abuse, witnessing domestic violence, witnessing community violence, traumatic grief, accident (e.g., car), natural disaster
Goals of TF-CBT: 
  • Learn coping skills
  • Decrease physiological arousal
  • Identify and express feelings about trauma
  • Show accurate cognitions about traumatic event
  • Reduce intrusive thoughts
  • Reduce fear response and need to avoid trauma related memories/reminders
  • Recognize, anticipate, and prepare for trauma reminders
